I'm sure that you already know the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. It is one of Aesop's Fables and is very famous. The story is about a shepherd boy who gets bored whilst looking after a flock of sheep. The boy pretends that there is a wolf and he shouts for help. When all the villagers come running, the boy laughs... he has tricked them all and he thinks it is very funny. The villagers don't think it is funny at all. When a wolf does come, the boy shouts for help again - but no one believes him and no one comes to help...
In The Bear Who Cried Wolf I have taken the old story and given it a little twist by changing the human characters for bears.
Tweaking and twisting traditional tales can be a lot of fun... why don't you write a new version of your favourite tale.
You could change the characters, or the setting. You could even add new characters or interesting objects.
